Wendy Parks - Associate
Wendy is an Associate in our Family Law team.
She advises clients in divorce proceedings, dissolution of civil partnerships, cohabitation disputes, financial remedies, private Children Act applications, pre and post-nuptial agreements, and cohabitation and separation agreements.
Originally practicing in the North East of England within general high street practices, and with a background in civil litigation, Wendy has gathered a significant breadth of knowledge and experience in most family matters. Following a brief career break from 2018 until 2021 when she undertook voluntary work in Kenya, Wendy more recently worked in a legal practice in Essex before moving to Ashtons Legal in August 2023. When practising in the North East, Wendy was involved in the reported case of Re: F (a family) [2010] EWCA Civ 1428.
She gained her Law Degree (LLB(hons)) from the University of Teesside and completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the College of Law in York in 2000. Wendy qualified as a solicitor in 2003 so has significant experience and expertise in Family Law matters.
Wendy is a member of Resolution.

Wendy is proactive and focused on her client’s needs. She prides herself on being friendly and approachable, yet professional and practical, when trying to achieve the best outcome in often difficult circumstances.
Wendy finds it incredibly rewarding to be able to assist people when they are at their most vulnerable, to be able to close chapters in their lives, and pave the way for new beginnings.

Outside of work, Wendy enjoys the countryside and can be found more often than not out walking with her two rescue dogs. She also enjoys equestrianism and clay target shooting. Wendy likes keeping fit and plays in a local netball team. She is also a big fan of foreign travel.
