Richard Guy - Partner

Richard is a Partner in our Lifetime Planning team.

He is an experienced solicitor and provides bespoke and expert legal advice for clients planning for the future.

He specialises in private client law and has experience acting for a range of clients, from business owners, farmers and high net worth individuals to retirees and the elderly.

He advises on a wide variety of matters, including Wills, trusts, inheritance tax and estate planning, powers of attorney, probate & estate administration, including estates with business interests and land or overseas assets.

Richard has gained wide-ranging previous experience at a top 100 and two top 500 local firms and was recognised as a “Next Generation Partner” in the independent Legal 500 directory in 2024.

He graduated with a First in French from University College London (UCL) before studying law at the College of Law (London) while working at the International Shipping Federation in London.

He subsequently trained at a large regional firm based in Cambridge, qualifying in 2008, before moving to practice in Suffolk in 2012.

Outside work, Richard enjoys taking walks with his family in the lovely Suffolk countryside, pottering about their allotment, as well as finding the time for a classical concert or art exhibition. When he can, he also enjoys practising his French.
