Laura Hook - Partner
Laura is a Partner in our Insolvency and Restructuring team.
Laura has a wealth of experience in a wide range of both contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters in respect of both personal and corporate insolvencies, advising office holders, debtors, creditors, directors, shareholders, and private individuals.
After successfully obtaining her law degree in 2007 and completing the LPC with a distinction in 2008, Laura took a year out to travel before completing her training contract and subsequently qualifying in 2011.
After training with a boutique Insolvency firm in Hull, Laura moved on to work in the Insolvency department of a larger regional firm following a merger. In 2015, Laura relocated to London to work for another boutique Insolvency firm before joining Ashtons Legal LLP as a Partner in 2024.
Laura is a member of R3, the Association of Business Recovery Professionals, and also a member of the R3 National Personal Insolvency Committee, assisting R3 with all aspects of policy development and progress relating to the Personal Insolvency Framework.
Laura is ranked as a Key Lawyer in the Legal 500.
Laura has built up an impressive profile within the profession and is known for her diligence and attention to detail whilst maintaining a commercial and pragmatic approach to matters.
Outside of work, Laura is kept busy by her daughter, and is also a keen sportsperson, playing hockey, netball, and tennis in her spare time. Laura is also an avid theatregoer and enjoys indulging in a spot of retail therapy and socialising with friends and family.
