Chantal Beck - Senior Associate

Chantal is a Senior Associate in our Property Disputes team.

She acts for commercial and private clients, advising on all aspects of disputes involving property law.

Chantal advises a broad range of commercial clients, both landlords and tenants, regarding lease renewals (under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954), termination options, dilapidations, service charge disputes, break options and general commercial property disputes.

Chantal advises private property owners and tenants regarding residential property-related matters, including enfranchisement, right of first refusal, breach of tenancy, termination of tenancy, restrictive covenants, adverse possession, rights of way, and rights of light. The most common topic for advice with residential homeowners is a neighbour dispute regarding boundaries or rights of way.

Chantal’s client portfolio has included Transport for London, Royal Mail and leading social housing providers in the UK. She is a member of the Property Litigation Association, Women in Property, and the Dilapidations Association.

Chantal is a robust and compassionate lawyer, understanding how important personal disputes are. Chantal always thinks commercially for clients, using over 15 years’ experience and knowledge in property and litigation to resolve the dispute avoiding the need for Court proceedings. Where litigation cannot be avoided, Chantal is a keen advocate in Court attending on behalf of clients in some instances or instructing Counsel when necessary.

Outside of work, Chantal likes to spend her days and weekends with her family, two young girls on adventures in the UK and further afield. Chantal is a keen festival attender and yoga enthusiast.
