£800,000 settlement obtained for Norfolk man injured in road collision

Ashtons Legal has obtained this substantial six-figure settlement for Mr B, a middle-aged man who suffered life-changing injuries when a car collided with his motorcycle.

Mr B was in no way to blame for the collision and the car driver was later prosecuted for careless driving.

Mr B incurred a range of physical injuries, in particular to his face, pelvis and legs.  He spent over two weeks in hospital and was in a wheelchair when he was discharged.  Mr B, who was previously active and self-reliant has had to come to terms with a much more restricted lifestyle and being more dependent on others due to the long-term effects of his injuries.

Some early funding was obtained to help with the costs of private rehabilitation but the defendant insurers made unacceptably low settlement offers during the early stages of his claim. The final agreed settlement will help to compensate Mr B for the enforced changes in his lifestyle since being injured, for loss of earnings since the time the collision occurred and will enable him to continue his rehabilitation.
