£270,000 obtained for a cyclist who was involved in a road traffic accident
Siobhan Thacker, a senior associate in our Personal Injury team, has obtained a £270,000 settlement for a man who suffered a traumatic brain injury and numerous serious injuries after he was hit by a car travelling at a high speed.
Mr B was travelling to work on his bicycle when the car collided at speed with the rear of his bike, knocking him to the ground.
As a result of his traumatic brain injury, Mr B continues to suffer from immense fatigue and short term memory loss. Mr B’s ability to work to the same capacity has been greatly affected by his injuries, and for this reason he has had to reduce his working hours.
Siobhan comments: “This is a great settlement for Mr B who, previous to the accident, was physically fit and healthy. Due to his injuries, his working ability has dramatically reduced and he still suffers from neuropsychological difficulties.”
