Disabled factory workers who are facing redundancy in Wales are set to go on a protest march to mark their displeasure with the situation.Swansea Trades Council’s May Day march is going to be led by staff members at Remploy tomorrow (April 27th), reports the South Wales Evening Post.Workers from the Fforestfach facility have been told they are facing redundancy as a result of the closure of the location and they will walk from the Guildhall to a rally at Castle Square in Swansea.Remploy national trade union convener Les Woodward said: “We are not going to allow this ConDem government to let us rot away on the dole so please come and support us on the march.”According to the organisation’s official website, it has helped more than 20,000 disabled people – as well as those facing complex barriers to work – into employment over the last couple of years.Posted by Ross Strowger
