A young woman who suffered brain damage as a result of a car accident has won £3 million in personal injury compensation due to her injuries.

Vicki Hart was 14 years old when she was hit by a taxi while crossing the road, but it has taken eight years to reach a settlement following the incident, reports the Sunday Sun.

As a result of the brain damage Ms Hart suffered in the accident, she has been “robbed” of her old life, the judge in the case said.

Mr Justice Spencer also took the opportunity to praise the young woman’s parents for how they have dealt with their daughter’s disability over the course of the last few years.

Pensioner Ann Roberts recently won a five-figure personal injury compensation settlement after she broke a number of bones in a car accident when she was hit by a driver who was travelling on the wrong side of the road, the Worcester News reported.
