Social gaming ‘could help people buying a business’

People buying a business and looking to make it profitable could consider looking towards social networks to interact with their potential customers.

In particular, Will Freeman, editor of CasualGaming.biz, said social gaming may be a good avenue to go down because there is “a wealth of potential”.

“Gaming is all about engaging with audiences … people have really embraced it across a huge demographic,” he commented.

Citing ITV’s new social gaming feature in the form of a Coronation Street application as a good example, Mr Freeman said it could be an easy way to build a better relationship with audiences.

“I can’t see that it won’t continue,” the internet expert added.

Earlier this month, Professor Joshua Bamfield, director at the Centre for Retail Research, said it is vital that anyone buying a business in the retail sector has a good online presence, even though it may not be immediately profitable.
