Scientist who worked on Pluto mission speaks at Ashtons Legal charity event
Posted 21/01/2016
A scientist who took part in a mission to send a probe to Pluto spoke at an event sponsored by Ashtons Legal recently.
Dr Carly Howett, who is originally from Braintree in Essex, worked on the New Horizons Space Explorer which has just completed a flypast of the dwarf planet Pluto. She appeared alongside space aeronautical engineer Jon Pineau and spoke about the European Space Agency’s Rosetta mission which successfully landed a probe onto the surface of the Comet 67P in November 2014.
The talk was organised by Ashtons Legal Family Partner, Stephen Williams, and took place at an Ipswich Rotary Evening. The event raised over £1,000 for St Elizabeth Hospice.
