Research: New home sales rising across Britain
Posted 09/08/2011
A growing number of Britons could be seeking the expertise offered by a conveyancing solicitor in the near future as new home sales continue to rise across the country.
According to figures covering the first six months of 2011 published yesterday (August 9th) by Connells, quarter one of this year saw a rise of 18 per cent in deals struck with the help of the estate agent in comparison to the same period in 2010.
Meanwhile, the second three-month timeframe of 2011 witnessed a 44 per cent hike on the corresponding quarter last year, despite continuing difficulties being seen in the housing sector following the recession.
Since the onset of the worldwide economic slump, many areas in Britain have witnessed their regional property market decline in value. However, these statistics from Connells suggest this trend may be coming to an end.
Research published by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors recently showed that the price of residences dropped in every part of the UK last month, apart from London.
