Posted 16/07/2014
A record 18 ladies from Ashtons Legal’s Bury St Edmunds and Thetford offices are taking part in Girls Night Out 2014. The sponsored event, which is taking place on Saturday 13 September this year, raises money for St Nicholas Hospice Care. In 2013 the event raised £120,000.
Head of Business Development at Ashtons Legal, Mary Porch, who is one of the team walking said:
“We are thrilled to be entering such a large team this year. We have participated every year since Girls Night Out was launched and have received great support from colleagues, friends and family in the lead up to the event and on the night itself.
The event is wonderful – the atmosphere is amazing with a real sense of camaraderie amongst the walkers and the marshals spurring us on. Best of all we go home with aching feet but knowing we have helped raise money for this fantastic cause”.
St Nicholas Hospice Care works compassionately in the fields of life-threatening illness, death and bereavement. They provide practical, medical and spiritual support to people in the West Suffolk area and their families living with an illness that is life threatening; such as cancer, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, heart or lung disease.
