£8,000 settlement for lady whose cryotherapy treatment was not performed correctly
Posted 07/05/2013
Sophie Bales, a medical injury solicitor at Ashtons Legal, has obtained an £8,000 settlement for a 40 year old woman who underwent cryotherapy to remove seven moles from her face.
The procedure was not carried out to a reasonable standard as too much liquid nitrogen was applied to the moles resulting in two months’ of pain, swelling and blistering to her face. This caused her to feel low and depressed and she was referred for several weeks counselling via her employer. It is likely that she will suffer some permanent discolouration and slight indentation, particularly on the left side of her face.
