£370,000 obtained for a motorcyclist with serious orthopaedic injuries

Ashtons Legal personal injury specialist has obtained a settlement of £370,000 for a female motorcyclist from Cambridgeshire who was involved in a head on collision with a van. Mrs T spent two months in hospital following the incident, undergoing emergency surgery on her pelvis before facing lengthy rehabilitation and initially being entirely dependent on others for her care needs. She has had to learn to walk again and still suffers mobility issues and a range of other side effects.
Ashtons comments: “The aim of any personal injury settlement is to put the person back as closely as possible to the position they were in before they were injured. Clearly Mrs T’s quality of life has been permanently affected but her settlement will enable her to access the additional treatment and care she needs to minimise the impact as far as possible.”
