£33,500 for misdiagnosis and incorrect treatment
Posted 25/03/2013
Sharon Allison, a clinical negligence lawyer at Ashtons Legal, has obtained £33,500 for Miss L, a woman whose hospital consultant initially put her on steroids for what he thought was a rheumatic problem. A correct diagnosis several months later revealed that she was suffering from an inflammation of the heart caused by an infection. As a result of the misdiagnosis, Miss L suffered a much longer period of illness than would otherwise have been the case, required more operations than should have been necessary, and now has to take anti-coagulants on a long term basis which could have been avoided. It is also possible that she may suffer further heart complications in the future.Click here to find out more about our Clinical Negligence Lawyers and the services they offer.
