£315,000 obtained for injured motorcyclist

Personal injury specialists at Ashtons Legal Solicitors, have obtained a settlement of £315,000 for a Norfolk man who was seriously injured in a road crash.

Mr T was knocked off his motorcycle when hit by a car and suffered multiple fractures and soft tissue injuries.  He spent several weeks in hospital, required multiple surgical operations and extensive physiotherapy and has been left with permanently affected mobility and scar tissue.

He is no longer able to ride a motorcycle or drive a manual car but requires an automatic vehicle.  Mr T is also expected to need further surgery in the future and has had to make some modifications to his home in order to accommodate a wheelchair in much later life.

Ashtons comments: “When injuries like this occur it is important that a claim takes into account future losses as well as current ones.  In Mr T’s case, there are various things that he would have done himself before the accident but will no longer be able to do, such as home improvements.  His doctors also anticipate he will need further operations in the future which will have a further impact on his life.  The money obtained cannot replace full mobility but it will help to make his life easier as he learns to live with the results of his injuries.”
