£30,000 settlement obtained for surgery which resulted in nerve damage
Posted 21/08/2013
Julie Crossley, a clinical negligence specialist at Ashtons Legal, has obtained a £30,000 settlement and a full admission of liability from a Welsh hospital for Mr G, whose posterior interosseous nerve was damaged during surgery.
Mr G was having a benign soft tissue tumour on his forearm removed but as a result of his surgeon’s negligence was left unable to extend his fingers and thumb. Although he has had corrective surgery he is unlikely to ever have full function in his hand.
