Personal injury specialists at Ashtons Legal solicitors, have obtained a substantial settlement for a young man who was knocked from his bicycle by a car and suffered severe brain injury. Mr T, then a healthy and sporty 12 year old, was hit by a vehicle in an incident in which it was later agreed that the car driver and Mr T were both equally at fault.

Sadly Mr T sustained a severe head injury, multiple fractures and bruising and abrasions. He has, over several years, undergone extensive neuro-rehabilitation and physiotherapy. He has made a generally good physical recovery but the brain injury he sustained will have a severe and lasting impact on his life. Experts agreed that he will require substantial lifelong care input and will never be able to manage to live independently or to undertake a paid job.

Ashtons comments: “Money can never truly compensate individuals or families for life-changing injuries, but this settlement will give Mr T’s family peace of mind that he will always be able to be cared for in an appropriate way and to be as independent as his brain injury allows”.
