£250,000 compensation for victim of serious RTA
Posted 24/02/2012
Ashtons Legal have achieved a settlement of ?250,000 for a young man who was involved in a serious road traffic accident. Our client was a passenger in a vehicle which was involved in a head on collision. As a consequence, he suffered multiple facial fractures which resulted in four metal plates being inserted into his face, scarring and a slight change of looks. His recovery was complicated by the development of severe post traumatic stress and a travel phobia, which in combination with his physical injuries have prevented him from being able to work for nearly three years.
He required high levels of support and therapeutic input which was coordinated for him by a case manager employed to work with him through the remit of his compensation claim. Ruth Booy, Head of Injury Services at Ashtons Legal, and her assistant Mark Copley have worked tirelessly on this case for the last twelve months to secure this award of compensation, which the client now intends to use to for vocational training and to provide him and his young family with financial security for the future.
