£225,000 compensation obtained following a road traffic accident

Tom Ranson, a personal injury specialist at Ashtons Legal, has obtained compensation for Mrs K who required medical treatment and specialist orthopaedic review after suffering permanent injury to her arm in a road traffic accident in 2010.

This was a hard fought case with the defendant insurers initially suggesting before court proceedings were issued that the claim was worth less than £10,000. They then increased to £100,000, with settlement finally being agreed at around £225,000 before the matter went to trial.

Mrs K, a senior nurse, who was able to continue working, was pleased that she followed our advice not to accept the previous offers, with the settlement figure being many times more than the original offer made to her.
