Pensioner wins personal injury compensation for supermarket slip

A slip in a supermarket has led to a woman being awarded a major personal injury compensation settlement.
Patricia Hill fell in the Asda store in the Rivergate shopping precinct, Peterborough, and has won a “substantial” amount, which she says will make a large difference to her life, reports the Peterborough Evening Telegraph.
She told the news provider how she fractured part of her knee in the incident and during the following six months she only left her home twice, both times to go to hospital appointments.
Of the settlement, Ms Hill said: “It means I won’t have to worry so much about all the little things and I can maybe put a little bit more money on the electricity and gas meters during winter.”
Earlier in the month, Vicki Hart won personal injury compensation of 33 million as a result of brain injuries sustained in a car accident when she was just 14 years old. The case reportedly took eight years to reach a conclusion and for the compensation figure to be agreed.
If you’ve suffered an injury as the result of an accident, the personal injury team at Ashtons Legal will be happy to advise you on whether you have a claim.
