Girls Night Out walkers raise £1,000 for local hospice

Ten members of staff at Ashtons Legal took part in the ‘Girls Night Out’ fundraising walk in aid of St Nicholas Hospice Care, Bury St Edmunds on Saturday 15 September.

They joined nearly 750 women dressed in eye-catching togas and flashing bunny ears who set off from Angel Hill just as the sun was setting at 8pm. The walk is a major annual fundraising event for St Nicholas Hospice, which needs to raise £11,000 every day to keep it running. The firm has fielded a team of walkers each year since the event was launched in 2009.

This year’s Girls Night Out is the Hospice’s most successful fundraising event to date, raising a staggering £118,000. Pictured above: Anna Watson and Sharon Allison with their medals at the end of the walk.
