Personal injury compensation is being sought by a man who sustained multiple injuries during a road traffic accident.

According to the Yorkshire Post, cyclist Peter Vaughan is to take legal action after suffering fractures to his leg and skull, as well as eye and kidney damage, when he was knocked off his vehicle in Dublin in October 2010.

Immediately after this incident, the driver of the car that collided with the Sheffield resident fled the scene, but the 63-year-old told the news source he has since received a letter from a woman driver admitting it was her fault.

As a result of this occurrence, Mr Vaughan had to be taken straight to hospital in Ireland after being found unconscious and has since required four operations on his leg following his return to the UK.

“My life has changed completely since the accident and nothing can turn the clock back,” he stated.

Recently, it was reported by the Bearsden Herald that Simon Reynolds is seeking damages after a cycling accident on a work team-bonding exercise left him with a head injury.

If you’ve suffered an injury as the result of an accident, the personal injury team at Ashtons Legal will be happy to advise you on whether you have a claim.
