Coroner halts baby’s inquest over hospital evidence tampering claim

A hospital trust may be referred to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) after a senior midwife says details were removed from her statement on the death of five-day-old Benjamin King. Benjamin died in May after being starved of oxygen shortly before he was born at The Royal United hospital in Bath.
