The press suggests big changes in the claimant personal injury world are afoot with the private equity buy out of Silverbeck Rymer and the acquisition of Russell Jones and Walker by Slater and Gordon, an Australian personal injury behemoth. What will this mean for those with a claim for compensation? More aggressive marketing but also clear quality standards and efficiency.”This is a marketplace in which we are happy to compete” says Simon Davis, who leads the Catastrophic Personal Injury Unit at Ashtons Legal. “We are committed to the highest standards of service and to achieving the best outcomes in a sensible time frame. Any new arrivals in the personal injury sector may find the ground has already been taken, with established regionally-based firms playing a key role alongside the national players. The injured and their families should be the winners.”
