A young girl who suffered life-changing injuries after being involved in a car accident is still waiting for the personal injury compensation settlement to be agreed.Gareth and Tracey Edwards, parents of six-year-old Cerys, stated they have received interim payments but the final amount is yet to be decided as specialists work out how much the cost of her care is going to be, reports the Mirror.Cerys suffered brain damage and had to undergo many operations after the Edwards’ vehicle was hit by Antonio Boparan Singh, who was travelling at 70 miles per hour in a 30 zone.”It’s sickening to think of all the terrible consequences of the actions of one idiotic driver,” said Mr Edwards. The cost of the annual care needed for Cerys has been estimated at £850,000 and personal injury compensation could therefore total £25 million.Pensioner Ann Roberts recently won a five-figure settlement after breaking a number of bones in a car accident, the Worcester News reported.
