Katy Perry and Russell Brand reportedly have no regrets over not taking pre-nuptial advice ahead of their whirlwind marriage. The singer and the actor announced their split recently after just 14 months together, with a financial agreement reached quickly after their split.A source told celebrity website TMZ.com that their relationship moved so quickly they did not have time to gather their lawyers to put together a pre-nuptial agreement.”Russell is a very simple person who doesn’t need much to make him happy,” the insider said, adding the pair were confident they would be able to come to an agreement if they were to split. The source added Perry and Brand respect each other too much in order to take money from the other party in the event of a divorce.Brand – who has starred in movies such as Arthur and Get Him To The Greek – was reportedly able to claim up to $20 million (£12.7 million) of Perry’s money, but turned down the chance to do so.
