Ashtons support new Mesothelioma Patient Support Group
Posted 21/04/2016
Ashtons are delighted to be supporting the newly formed St Edmundsbury Mesothelioma Patient Support Group who are meeting today for the first time.
The group, which serves victims of Mesothelioma and Asbestosis in the Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, Coastal and Rural Suffolk and Breckland areas, held their launch meeting at Bury Farmers Club this morning. Brian Victor Chamen-Wallis, representing charity Mesothelioma UK and responsible for the establishment of the group, welcomed guests and speakers who included Baroness Howarth of Breckland Council, Richard Foyster of Ashtons, The Mayor of St Edmundsbury Borough Council and the Deputy Chair of Forest Heath District Council Ms Sharon Stevens, UK Government Outreach Commissioner.
East Anglia was recently identified as the only area in the UK without such a support group.
Our first St Edmundsbury support group was opened by (L to R) Forest Heath acting chair Cllr Carol Lynch, Baroness Howarth of Breckland, St Edmundsbury Mayor Patrick Chung, Mesothelioma UK ambassador Brian Wallis and Richard Foyster from Ashtons Legal.
