Ashtons Legal walkers raise £1,000 for hospice

Well done to the six members of Ashtons Legal staff who took part in the ‘Girls Night Out’ fundraising walk on Saturday 14 September in aid of St Nicholas Hospice in Bury St Edmunds.

Mary Porch, Anna Watson, Debbie Holmes, Sharon Allison, Vicki Clover and Debbie Smith all took part, raising £1,000 in total.

The moonlit fundraising walk brought together over a thousand women, who set out from Angel Hill at 8pm dressed in pyjamas and sporting flashing bunny ears to walk either six miles or 11.2 miles through the town. This year’s walk saw the biggest turn out of fundraisers to date, and it is thought that over £105,000 has been raised overall. Ashtons Legal has fielded a team of walkers each year since the event was launched five years ago.
