Ashtons Legal staff tackle 24 Peaks in 24 hours
Posted 01/05/2014
Three members of Ashtons Legal staff have taken part in a 24 Peak Challenge in aid of Cambridgeshire-based charity, Romsey Mill.
Edward O’Rourke, (CEO), Michael Frape (Partner) and Mark Whittaker (Associate) set out on the 24 Peak Challenge Trek on Friday 25 April. The challenge involved scaling 24 peaks in the Lake District in 24 hours (walking over two days). The challenge was incredibly tough; of the 40 people who set out, less than half completed the challenge in full, and of those only 9 within the target of 24 hours.
The group covered a total distance of around 32 miles, and more than 10,000ft of ascent and 10,000ft of descent. Despite torrential rain and strong winds, the Ashtons Legal team managed to complete the challenge within the targeted time and have raised a fantastic total of £1,800 for the charity.
Romsey Mill works with young people, children and families across Cambridgeshire.
