Staff at Ashtons Legal supported ‘Hats4Headway Day’ on Friday 18 May. The aim behind the event organised by the charity, Headway is for staff to come into work wearing a hat and make a donation. The event formed part of Action for Brain Injury Week, which took place last week to help raise awareness of those affected by brain injury and the people who care for them.Ashtons Legal is supporting Headway Cambridgeshire, Headway Ipswich and East Suffolk, Headway Norfolk and Waveney and Headway West Suffolk during 2012 – 13 in a Charity of the Year partnership. All funds raised during the event will go to these organisations.  The firm has a long-standing relationship with Headway, whose valuable work with people who have suffered head injuries is well known. Ruth Booy, Partner and Head of Injury Services at Ashtons Legal is a Trustee of Headway Cambridgeshire and Tom Cook, Partner and Medical Injury Solicitor is a Trustee of West Suffolk Headway. Our injury teams have worked with a number of Headway clients, helping them to get the best compensation package to which they are entitled. Although money can never take the place of good health, it can help people to get their lives back on track and make it easier for families to arrange suitable care and support.Pictured above: Staff in our Cambridge office in their hats.
