Ashtons Legal partner raises over £2,700 for Mesothelioma UK
Ashtons Legal Personal Injury partner, Richard Foyster, has raised £2,737.00 (including Gift Aid) for national cancer charity, Mesothelioma UK.
Mesothelioma is an asbestos related cancer affecting many of Richard’s clients and members of Anglia Asbestos Disease Support Group that he works so closely with. Richard therefore decided to take part in not one, but three fundraising events to raise money for Mesothelioma UK. This included growing a moustache for Movember and running the Norwich Half-Marathon.
The highlight of Richard’s fundraising was a hike across, over, and down the beautiful French and Swiss Alps in June this year. The photographs show Richard at the peak of one of the mountains – Fenetre d’Arpette, at 2,665 metres, and also show the view from the top of that peak.
Richard commented: “The hike at all times passed through stunningly beautiful scenery but at times was physically demanding and scary! I act for so many wonderful people who have had the misfortune of being diagnosed with asbestos related conditions. They inspire me on a daily basis with their determination, positive attitude, and good humour – attributes that I was keen to use myself when the going got tough on the hike! This has inspired me to look at attempting further endurance events in the future. Watch this space!”
Well done Richard!
