Ashtons Legal cyclists take to the streets in Norfolk
Posted 02/06/2013
Four members of Ashtons Legal staff took part in the British Heart Foundation Norwich Bike Ride on Saturday 1 June. Participants were able to choose between a 25, 50 or 100 mile route. Mark Merriam (Partner and Chairman) and Rob Tiffen (Associate) completed the 50 mile route, while Dave Richardson (Business Development Advisor) and Adrian Baker (Risk & Compliance Manager) took on the 100 mile challenge.Starting and finishing in Norwich, the ride incorporated many of Norfolk’s picturesque villages. From the start in the grounds of Norwich Cathedral, both routes first headed north to Reepham. The 50 mile route then looped back past Blickling Hall, while the 100-milers headed up to the coast and via the grounds of Holkham Hall to the half-way point at Sheringham, touching on the Broads, before returning to the finish line at the Cathedral.Rob Tiffen has raised over £250 so far for the British Heart Foundation. This event formed part of Dave Richardson’s 2,000 mile cycle challenge. Dave has set himself the challenge of cycling 2,000 miles in 12 months to raise funds for Nelson’s Journey – one of Ashtons Legal’s chosen charities this year.
