Ashtons advise on another acquisition by Stowlangtoft Healthcare Group

Ashtons Legal has advised the owners of Stowlangtoft Healthcare Group in its acquisition of the business and assets of Melford Court Nursing Home from national care provider Bupa.

Melford Court is a Grade-II listed house in Long Melford, Suffolk and has capacity for 52 residents.The business will complement Stowlangtoft’s existing care homes at Stowlangtoft Hall near Bury St Edmunds, Brandon Park in Brandon and Ford Place in Thetford, all of which provide premium level care in impressive surroundings.

Geoff Hazlewood, a partner and head of the Corporate and Commercial Team led the transaction and was assisted by Ron Clare on the planning aspects and Colin Makin on the employment side.
