Ashtons advise on acquisition of Ford Place Nursing Home

Ashtons Legal has advised the owners of Stowlangtoft Healthcare Group in its acquisition of the business and assets of Ford Place Nursing Home in Thetford from Barchester Healthcare.

Ford Place is a Grade-II listed house set in three acres of private gardens which overlooks the River Thet. It has capacity for 49 residents. The business will complement Stowlangtoft’s existing care homes at Stowlangtoft Hall and Brandon Park.

Geoff Hazlewood, a partner and head of the Corporate and Commercial Team led the transaction, assisted by Ron Clare and Scott Hilton in the Commercial Property Team and Colin Makin assisted on employment matters. NatWest assisted with the funding of the acquisition.
