£350,000 settlement obtained following professional negligence over personal injury claim

Siobhan Thacker, a personal injury specialist at Ashtons Legal, has obtained £350,000 for a man whose previous solicitors failed to obtain as much compensation for him as he was due, following a serious injury that was not his fault.

Mr C was severely injured in an incident at work during which he fell from a ladder and instructed lawyers to bring an injury claim on his behalf. Amongst other injuries, Mr C sustained head and facial injuries but these were not investigated by his solicitors and therefore not compensated in the settlement of his injury claim.

To further compound Mr C’s problems they also negligently failed to calculate his loss of earnings and pension, resulting in significant financial loss to him.
