£35,000 obtained to help whiplash sufferer with ongoing treatment for pain

Tom Ranson, a personal injury specialist at Ashtons, has obtained £35,000 for Mr C, a man in his 50s who suffered whiplash injuries to his neck, shoulder and back after another car ran into his vehicle from behind. The driver of the other car admitted that the incident was his fault and Mr Cwas not in any way to blame.
Despite various treatments such as physiotherapy, chiropractic, osteopathy, acupuncture and massage therapy sessions, Mr C continued to suffer residual pain from his injuries; the treatments only providing short bouts of relief.
Tom Ranson comments: “In a case like this, it is important for the injured person’s lawyers to take the time to get proper medical reports and ensure that the amount of compensation sought will enable the injured party to get the treatment they need in the long-term as well as the short term. Unfortunately, this does not always happen and some people who have suffered injuries which were not their own fault find themselves out of pocket, or missing out on treatment they should have had, further down the line.”
