£875,000 obtained for injured farmer

Roger Loomes, a personal injury specialist at Ashtons Legal, recently obtained a substantial six-figure settlement for a man, Mr H, who was severely injured when pipework failed while he was preparing to irrigate crops.

The force with which he was hit by the pipe resulted in life-changing injuries which will prevent him from returning to heavy labour.

The incident resulted in Mr H having to be put into an induced coma initially and in addition to the physical injuries he suffered Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and depression. The accident will have a life-long impact and in spite of continuing with his rehabilitation, Mr H is also likely to need a hip replacement in the future.
