£250,000 for Norfolk pedestrian injured by drink driver

Siobhan Thacker, a personal injury claim specialist at Ashtons Legal, has obtained a settlement of £250,000 for a young lady who suffered a number of injuries, including a mild brain injury, after being hit by a car while crossing the road in Norwich.

The driver of the car was convicted of driving while over the legal limit for alcohol.

Siobhan comments: “Everyone accepted that the driver who had been drinking was at fault but, as is often the case, her insurers were slow to accept the true value of the claim. Their initial offer was less than six per cent of the amount that we eventually succeeded in obtaining. By persevering, we were able to achieve a settlement which will enable Ms T to obtain whatever continued rehabilitation and support she needs as a result of her injuries”.
