Scam email alert: “Neil Anthony Ashton”
It has come to our attention that a series of scam emails (similar to the one below) are being sent out by a “Neil Anthony Ashton” who is claiming to be a lawyer acting as personal representative for a deceased client.
The email does not suggest that Neil Anthony Ashton has any connection with our firm (Ashtons Legal), and we can confirm there is nobody named Neil Anthony Ashton employed by or associated with the UK law firm Ashtons Legal.

Sent: Wednesday, June 3, 2020 6:18 PM
I hope my email meets you well. I am a lawyer and the personal representative to the late XXXX XXXXXX I want you to represent as a distant relative to my late client, so we can secure release of his estates. Please write back.

Ashtons Legal have notified the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) of this, and have also placed announcements on our social media pages to inform other potential recipients of these emails that it is a scam.
