Ashtons Legal wins Social Media Award
Ashtons Legal has won the LawNet 2013 award for ‘Best use of Social Media’. The LawNet 2013 award winners were announced at the annual LawNet Conference on Friday 8 November at Staverton Park, Daventry.
We were also Highly Commended for our entry in the ‘Excellence in Risk Management and Compliance’ category and our ‘Young Lawyer of the Year’ entry for Sarah Walker, a Solicitor in our French Legal Services team.
LawNet is a national network of over 60 independent law firms who are committed to rigorous quality standards and best practice. The prestigious LawNet awards are judged not by lawyers but by relevant external specialists. This year, there were six award categories.
In the past 18 months, Ashtons Legal’s Business Development team has worked to increase our social media presence, by improving our reach across Twitter, Linked In, Google +, You Tube and Facebook, including a Facebook advertising campaign. The team has also been providing training and guidance for lawyers around the firm to increase their own professional social media activity.
This has helped to raise our brand awareness, increase traffic to our website and has supported the offline media work which is carried out by our individual lawyers. A particular focus of the past year has been to generate video content for use on our website and this is something which we will continue to work on throughout 2014.
