Ashtons Legal sponsors 2020/21 Norfolk Junior Cup competition
Ashtons Legal signed a deal to support Norfolk Football and the Norfolk Senior Cup, their most prestigious Cup competition, in early 2020 and we have now agreed to expand our support of Saturday football across the County.
The growth of our partnership with Norfolk FA will see their most entered County Cup Competition become known as ‘The Ashtons Legal Junior Cup’.
The Norfolk Junior Cup is the biggest cup competition run by Norfolk FA with over 80 teams entered for the 2020/21 season. This season’s competition is at the fourth round stage with the Quarter-Finals taking place on Saturday 22 May and Saturday 5 June respectively. Of the 16 teams remaining, all areas of the County are represented with Dersingham, Wells and Hemsby all in with a chance of reaching the final eight.
Ashtons Legal employs almost 400 people across the region, providing first-class legal advice to both commercial organisations and individuals. Cup winning teams are used to lifting trophies, and so too are Ashtons Legal, having been nominees and winners of various accolades over the last decade, including ‘Law Firm of the Year’ at the LawNet Awards.
Stefan Mitham, BD and Marketing Manager at Ashtons Legal said: “We are delighted to join forces with Norfolk FA and sponsor The Ashtons Legal Junior Cup this season which sits alongside our existing support for the Seniors. Good luck to all of the teams involved.”
Norfolk FA Marketing & Communications Manager, Rebecca Burton added: “Our first season in partnership with Ashtons Legal hasn’t exactly been what we’d planned when concerning on-pitch activity, however with what’s been a disjointed season due to the pandemic, we’ve still been able to have a fantastic relationship utilising their legal services which are second to none.
“We were delighted however to be able to confirm a full programme of county cup competitions, with the finals taking place over the coming weeks. For Ashtons to now extend their support from not just sponsoring the Senior Cup, but also the Junior Cup too, shows exactly what kind of an organisation they are and why we’re proud to be their partners.”
