Ashtons advises Thyngs Ltd on oversubscribed crowdfunding campaign
Ashtons Legal has advised successful techpreneur Neil Garner on his latest crowdfunding campaign which has seen his company, Thyngs Ltd, raise £385,000 from 388 investors in a crowdfunding campaign.
Thyngs is a mobile technology platform that turns any physical object into an instant point of sale, connecting buyers, sellers and brands. They already had a business model for the UK charity sector and other key partnerships in place, but needed to grow in the mobile proximity payments market so set up a crowdfunding campaign aiming to raise £300,000.
Ashtons has been advising Thyngs since its formation in 2016 and has guided them through the legal aspects of this fundraise.
James Tarling, a partner in Ashtons’ Corporate and Commercial Team commented: “It has been fantastic to support Neil and his team at Thyngs as it has quickly evolved from an idea to an established business that now has the funding to take it on to the next exciting growth stage. At Ashtons we are proud to provide flexible support for innovative start up businesses like Thyngs”.
Neil Garner, CEO of Thyngs said: “We are over the moon to have exceeded our initial investor and fundraise target and are really pleased that James and his team were there to support us along the way”.
