Ashtons’ Advise Meddbase In Sale To Cority Software, Inc.

Ashtons Legal has advised the shareholders of Medical Management Systems Limited on the sale of Meddbase to Cority Software, Inc. (backed by Thoma Bravo LLP).

Founded in 2004, Meddbase was the first cloud-based clinical software solution designed for healthcare providers in the UK. The company has since expanded its offerings to include occupational health, electronic health records, and private healthcare management solutions, serving clients across North America, Europe, and Australia. Cority is a North American EHS technology group backed by the private equity group Thoma Bravo.

Ashtons has worked with the shareholders and company since it was incorporated in 2004, and since that time, has been on hand as the company has grown rapidly as the sole legal advisor for all corporate, commercial, employment, litigation and property matters, building an extremely close and collaborative relationship with the management team and owners. In 2018, Ashtons advised the company on a substantial private investment round, securing capital to sustain its ambitious growth plans.

The transaction was led by Nick Palmer and David Sloman, with support from Mark Watson, Jasmine Allen and James Brighton.
