Training Contracts

At Ashtons Legal, we regard the recruitment and training of our solicitors as a vital part of the development of the firm.

Who are we?

Ashtons Legal is a dynamic, ambitious regional law firm, with a clear five-year strategy that will see it set the benchmark for excellence and quality. Already one of East Anglia’s largest firms, it is driven by continuous improvement in all that it does.

The firm is committed to delivering a consistently exceptional client experience, providing first-rate legal and commercial advice, employing the best people and demonstrating exceptional teamwork in all that it does. This approach is underpinned by an unrivalled commitment to Learning and Development, which would be the envy of many national firms.

The Services for Business Group includes all core commercial disciplines with additional specialisms in areas such as agriculture, alternative energy, education, franchising and licensing. Helping our clients succeed in their commercial ventures is a genuine motivation for the team, and our lawyers are recognised for their pragmatic solution-based approach.

The Individual Client Group focuses on developing enduring, long-term relationships with clients and their families. Lifetime and succession planning is key, alongside a full range of property and family law services, including mediation. Our niche French Legal Services team, and our close involvement with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, help to differentiate us from our competitors.

Our Injury Services Group is recognised as a centre of excellence within East Anglia and beyond and has attracted top-tier rankings in both Legal 500 and Chambers for Claimant Personal Injury and Claimant Clinical Negligence work for many years. They are also supported by one of the largest Court of Protection teams in the region.
