At Ashtons Legal, our commitment to the community doesn’t stop when we leave the office at the end of each day.
We believe it is important to contribute to life beyond work. After all, we are part of the East Anglian scenery too. We live here, we play here and it is where we’ve chosen to raise our families.
We have a strong commitment to being a responsible business and this commitment is demonstrated in a number of ways:
- by supporting charities
- through sponsorship
- by having respect for the environment
- by engaging in community based projects.
It is part of our ethos of not just doing things right, but doing the right things.
Launched in 2008, our Charities and Pro Bono Commitee has gone from strength to strength. Made up of staff who represent all areas of the business, the Committee meets regularly to discuss staff welfare, charitable giving and support and Pro Bono work.
In all of this, we are guided by four principles, which help us make the right decisions. They are:
- an ethos of excellence
- honesty and openness
- respect
- accountability.
